Time lapse photography occurs when you set your camera to take photographs at certain time intervals. The camera will take a series of images every 10 minutes, every hour or whatever interval you set it at. If you play the images back at a faster rate of speed it will create an illusion of time passing quickly. This type of photography is often used on television to show a building being constructed or traffic situations etc. It is also ideal for sunsets, cloud movement and other nature shots
